Dr. Turse is a specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of all digestive and liver diseases. He has practiced locally in Brevard County and also in St. Augustine, Florida over the past fifteen years. As a medical professional, Dr. Turse has attending physician privileges at both Holmes Regional Medical Center and Wuesthoff Medical Center, Melbourne. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Following the completion of his Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry, from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Dr. Turse studied and received his Doctorate of Medicine from the same University School of Medicine in 1982. He subsequently completed an internship in Internal Medicine at East Carolina School of Medicine as well as a residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He was awarded chief resident and served as instructor of medicine following his residency and then served a Gastroenterology Fellowship prior to entering private practice.
Due to his expertise in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Turse has served as the Chief of the Gastroenterology Department of both Holmes Regional Medical Center and Palm Bay Community Hospital.
Dr. Turse is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of all digestive disorders with specific emphasis on irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, pancreatic disorders, gastroesophageal reflux and peptic ulcer disease. He has specific interests in hepatobiliary disease as well as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis.
Dr. Turse has participated in several clinical studies and has published in peer review journals in the past.
