Dr. Riascos-Mazo is a Clinical Neurologist specializing in the treatment of brain, nerve, and muscular diseases. Dr. Riascos-Mazo is a graduate of the University of Cauca, School of Medicine. Colombia. She completed a residency program in Clinical Neurology at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. During her residency she had intensive training in Stroke, Dementia and Headaches. She subsequently served a Fellowship in Neurophysiology, Epilepsy and Neuromuscular disorders for a period of two years at Louisiana State University. All her training has allowed Dr. Riascos-Mazo to be well skilled in the treatemtn on neurological diseases, with special emphasis in Epilepsy, Sleep Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Myasthenia Gravis, Neuropathies, Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Myopathies and the electrodiagnostic interpretation of Electroencephalography (EEG), Elcetromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS).
