Dr. Ahmed graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. From there, he attended Vanderbilt University for specialty training in nephrology. Dr. Ahmed's nephrology training encompasses all aspects of kidney diseases and diseases which affect the kidney. His specialized training includes the treatment and evaluation of kidney problems secondary to hypertension and diabetes. His training also includes treatment for specific problems originating in the kidney as well as dialysis for those individuals whose kidneys are no longer functional. Dr. Ahmed also has specialized training and certification in interventional nephrology. Training at such a large referral center has allowed Dr. Ahmed to be well skilled as a kidney specialist. He has brought his training, along with his family, here to Melbourne so he can continue his treatment excellence in our community.
